TRENT WINS DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP IN ROBOTICS

Our grandson (Junior at Berkner High School, Richardson, Texas) competed in the International Robotics Competition at Louisville, Kentucky.  500 high schools from all over the world competed.  The 500 were divided into 100 teams groups and given names from the STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering And Mathematics.  The fifth team was called Arts from the A in And.

Trent won his division scoring a 10-0.

The winners of each division then competed in a round-robin playoff for the World Champion.  Trent placed fourth and missed a second place by only a couple of points.

His robot is #1366.

AGGIE MUSTER

I haven't been real good about attending Aggie Musters.  But this year was important to me - I lost three friends.

Will Rogers who was a high school and football team mate, Aggie classmate of 64' and bother in the Vietnam (He was Navy and I was Army) War.

Charlie Seeber who I worked with at Dow Chemical for over 30 years and also an Aggie classmate of 64'.

Ronald Hood a recent friend who I birded and butterflied with. Also a classmate of 64'.

I attended the Kerr County Aggie Muster and lite one candle for each of them.

SHERRY DOES IT AGAIN

Well after we came home from the Albuquerque trip, Sherry developed bronchitis from standing under the Cottonwoods looking for the Sinaloa Wren.  It lasted 2 weeks and finally her doctor gave her some strong antibiotics.  Well she had a bad reaction that made her feel like she was having a heart attack.  Off to the emergency room in Kerrville for two days of x-rays, stress- test, and lots of blood work.  All looked good so off we went to SA UT Med for a CT Scan which also turned up negative.  So the result was it had to be the medication that she has taken before with no ill affects.

So now we have survived a brain tumor and heart attack - oh I forgot a few years back she was diagnosed with MS which turned out to be false as well.

All's well that ends well.....................
